As many of you may have seen in the media, the Chief Dental Officer has announced that dental practices across England will be allowed to begin the process of re-opening from Monday 8th June 2020. This advice is only based on the practice being safe before doing so and we must ensure that we have all the necessary protocols and PPE in place.
Throughout the pandemic our main priority has always been the well-being of our patients and staff and this is not something we are willing to compromise on. We will only be reopening once we are satisfied that the practice is safe for anyone who enters and we are working through the detail of this as quickly as possible. We plan to resume services in a phased manner, firstly prioritising our patients who have dental emergencies. We must highlight that routine dentistry will NOT resume at our practice on Monday 8th June 2020.
We have been working hard behind the scenes to make the necessary preparations. However, this is not a quick job and will take time to source appropriate PPE and develop protocols. Routine care will be slowly reintroduced once we receive further guidance over the coming weeks.
As always, we will do our best to keep you informed throughout this process. If you are interested in making a new routine appointment, we kindly ask that you delay calling at this stage. For those patients who have had their routine appointments rearranged during lockdown, they are still postponed and we will contact you if they change. Please still contact the practice during our normal opening hours if you feel you have a dental emergency.
We are all really looking forward to welcoming you all back, but we hope you can understand that we must do this safely. Once again, we would like to thank you for your support and patience during this difficult time.

We hope our current emergency service has been useful for those who have needed it during the coronavirus period. We are doing everything we can as a practice to deliver effective dental care within the necessary restrictions which have been advised for dentistry.
We would like to reassure you that local dentists in our area have been working tirelessly with NHS England to establish arrangements within our wider community for some restricted, emergency dental treatment to take place. Although limited, we are incredibly lucky to have access to this service and we hope you can understand that some dental treatments simply have to wait. Like many things in life at the moment, we must make sacrifices to beat coronavirus.
Please call the practice if you have any dental problems, no matter how trivial. Your problem will be thoroughly triaged by our staff and the most appropriate advice and arrangements will be provided.
We look forward to seeing you all again soon and please, stay safe.
